Premiere: Makabr - Annoying Mermaid (KISLO) Moscow-based label KISLO launches its discography with KSL001, a compilation that serves as the first collective statement from an emerging community of musicians, DJs, and producers working across the contemporary electronic music landscape. The compilation features 11 tracks and functions as a platform for dialogue between artists whose practices differ in form yet converge through a shared interest in tension, texture, and the sense of space within music. Makabr is a DJ and sound artist whose roots lie in Russia’s Far East. His music exists at the intersection of trance-infused harmonies, broken rhythmic structures, and breakbeat, enriched with experimental elements. He has released music on the labels MOSOBLELECTRO, Formantika, Damsq, Slowdance, Ovelha Trax, Dyonisian Mysteries, FU.ME, MixCult, and Resonance Moscow. Annoying Mermaid is that soft, intimate whisper from a stranger, ready to pull you into the depths of the unknown right in the middle of an ecstatic dance.
